Russia International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) convoy has departed towards Zaporizhia during the Ukraine War. An IAEA team is visiting Europe's largest nuclear power plant on Thursday morning to evaluate the radiation risk after spending the night in Russian-controlled territory.
After a team of experts travelled to Zaporizhia, tensions between Russia and Ukraine grew. While IAEA and Ukrainian officials have suggested the examination could take longer, Russian officials think it will likely be finished in a day.
On the other hand, Ukraine's eastern and southern fronts are still experiencing heavy conflict. Ukrainian troops are engaged in combat to retake territory that Russia recently took. Russia is said to have attacked heavily as Ukrainian soldiers were gathered close to Mykolaiv.
More than 1,200 Ukrainian soldiers, according to Russia, were killed in the assault. This hasn't been verified yet, though. On the other hand, Russia has asserted that its forces had obliterated 37 armoured battle vehicles and 48 tanks belonging to Ukraine. Additionally, a sizable amount of military gear and weaponry have been destroyed.
the outcome of six months of consistent work
IAEA Director Raphael Grossi told media in Kiev prior to the flight that we are finally departing for Zaporizhia after six months of nonstop work. It can take a few days to inspect the plant.
He remarked, "We have a crucial responsibility to determine the true scenario there and maintain them stable. We're heading to the front lines. We require a commitment for this from Ukraine as well as Russia. Russia took control of this plant in March. Ukrainian engineers continue to run it.
